Department of Mathematics in association with IQAC conducted an interaction session on March 16, 2023, at ALP School Pathiramanna. The session primarily targeted second-year undergraduate students from our college. The session commenced at 10:00 am. The interaction session was organized and facilitated by 4th-semester students, under the guidance of faculty members Mr. Abdul Basheer, Mr. Akhil, and Ms. Aiswarya Govind from the Department of Mathematics. Each student focused on a specific topic during the session. Farsana covered the topic of triangles and angles, Shahanab taught the BODMAS rule, Farhana handled different shapes, and Afeefa discussed clocks and time. The formal session was inaugurated by Mr. CV Suresh Babu, the Headmaster of ALP School Pathiramanna. Mr. Abdul Basheer U, Assistant Head of the Department of Mathematics, delivered a welcome speech, highlighting the significance of Pi-Day and introducing the objectives of the session. He emphasized the importance of mathematics in everyday life and its practical applications. The session proceeded with interactive activities, demonstrations, and discussions, allowing students to actively engage with the topics presented. The 4th-semester students showcased their teaching skills and shared their knowledge and passion for mathematics with the participating students from ALP School Pathiramanna. A total of seven participants were present. At the end of the session, Mr. Akhil P P, Assistant Professor in the Department of Mathematics, delivered the vote of thanks, expressing gratitude to the school administration, faculty, and students for their participation and support. He emphasized the importance of such collaborative initiatives in fostering a strong academic community. Overall, the interaction session was successful in achieving its objectives of promoting basic mathematical skills and generating interest among the participating students
