The Department of Management Studies actively conducts workshops, seminars, training programmes, industrial visits, research initiatives, and community engagement activities that promote learning, innovation, and professional growth among students.

PASSPORT MELA – FROM CAMPUS TO THE WORLD

The Department of Management Studies organized an extension activity titled “Passport Mela – From Campus to the World” on 03 March 2026 at M.P Narayana Menon Hall from 10.30 AM to 1.30 PM. The programme was conducted in association with Unimoni Financial Services Ltd (Wizzimoni Financial Services Ltd), Perinthalmanna for the students of our college and students of Sreenarayana Guru Open University (SGOU), Ramapuram and Mankada.
The main objective of the programme was to create awareness about passport application procedures and to help students understand the importance of having a passport for higher education, employment, and other international opportunities. The programme started with a brief introduction by the Head of the Department. Representatives from Unimoni Financial Services Ltd explained the passport application process, required documents, and online registration procedures. They also clarified the doubts of students and provided guidance regarding passport-related formalities.
A total of 101 students participated in the programme, including students from our college and Sreenarayana Guru Open University (SGOU), Ramapuram and Mankada. The participants actively interacted with the resource persons and gained useful information about passport application and international opportunities.

BEYOND GENDER – GENDER EQUALITY IN THE WORKPLACE

The Department of Management Studies, in association with the Gender Club, organized a session titled “BEYOND GENDER – Gender Equality in the Workplace” on 09 March 2026 at 11.00 AM at M.P Narayana Menon Hall.
The session aimed to create awareness among students about the importance of gender equality and the need to promote inclusive practices in workplaces. The resource person for the programme was Nimmi Ayyappan Parambil, Assistant Professor, and Department of Sociology. She delivered an informative talk highlighting the concepts of gender equality, gender bias, and discrimination that often occur in professional environments.
During the session, the speaker explained how workplaces should ensure equal opportunities for all genders and emphasized the importance of respect, fairness, and ethical behavior in professional life. She also discussed the role of young professionals in building inclusive and gender-sensitive organizations in the future.
A total of 48 students participated in the programme, including students from BBA and BTTM programmes. The session was interactive, and students actively engaged in discussions and clarified their doubts regarding gender equality in professional settings.

B-CEPTA - ASSOCIATION INAUGURATION

The Department of Management Studies organized Association inauguration – B-CEPTA & Cultural program on 28.01.2026, at 10.30 am at Prem Nazir AV Theatre & Students Cultural program at M.P. Narayana Menon Hall from 1.30pm to 4.30pm The Chief Guest inaugurated the Association Day was Mr. Madhusoodanan Nair – IA & AS, Sr, Dy. Accountant General(Retd), Office of the Accountant General, Maharashtra. The Chief Guest was also delivered a class on ‘IGNITE – Lighting Minds through Career Experiences’ to the students. The student’s cultural program was also organized in the afternoon session at 1.30pm to 4.30pm as scheduled at M.P Narayana Menon Hall. A total of 90 students actively participated in the program.
The outcome of the above program were: Students gain career guidance and real-world professional insights, Inspire students through senior government success experiences, Association Day builds leadership, coordination, and Event-Management Skills, Cultural program and enhance creativity, teamwork, confidence, and personality and strengthens student engagement and institutional pride. The feedback of the students was quite good and informative to them.

ORIENTATION SESSION – CAREER PROSPECTS’

Department of Management Studies organised a Session on FUTURE READY – ORIENTATION SESSION – CAREER PROSPECTS, on 05.12.2025, at 11.30AM, at Room No. 205. The Coordinator of the programme was Mr. Sandeepan.K.M – Asst. Professor & HOD, Department of Management Studies. The Resource-Person was : Mr. ASHFAR ALI..E – Managing Director, Westberg International, Kozhikkode. The main objectives of the Session were, Enhanced awareness on Emerging Career Path, Improved readiness for Job Market entry, Greater confidence in Career Decision Making Strengthened Professional Development Skill & Students preparedness for the Job
BBA Final year students ( 6th Semester) actively took part in the session. The overall opinion of the programme was good and fruitful to the students.

STARTUP ESSENTIALS & REAL FOUNDER TALKS

Department of Management Studies has observed the International Forest Day

Department of Management Studies has observed the International Forest Day on 21.03.2025 at 10am. The Programme was inaugurated by the Campus Manager - Shri. Mohammed Ali. The programme was coordinated by Shri. Sandeepan.k.M, Asst. Professor & HOD . Useful Trees such as Jackfruit, Mango etc were planted by the BBA Second Semester Students at different locations of the College premises. Shri. Sandeepan.K.M as explained the relevance of this day and also affirmed this year’s Theme ‘Forests and Food’. A group of students are entrusted to water the planted trees regularly. The programme aims to raise awareness about the importance of forests in maintaining ecological balance, supporting biodiversity, and combating climate change. The feed back of the programme showed that the student treated the programme as very informative to them and inculcated the mind set of planting trees at home as well.

Department of Management Studies has organised a Session on ‘INNOVATE, PROTECT AND THRIVE WITH IPR’

Department of Management Studies has organised a Session on ‘INNOVATE, PROTECT AND THRIVE WITH IPR’ for the BBA Second Year Students on 25.03.2025 at 10am to 11.30 am , at M.P. Narayana Menon Hall. Apart from our Students, 4th Semester Students from Malabar College of Advance Studies, Vengara, MES Arts & Science College Malaparamba, St. Marry’s College, Puthananagadi, Safa College of Arts & Science, Pookkattiri,were also invited to take part in the session as we have already executed MoU with these Colleges.
The programme aims to emphasize the importance of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR) in fostering innovation, safeguarding creations, and promoting long-term growth. Altogether 46 students including from students from other College with whom we executed MoU as cited above wereactively participated in the interactive Session. Students feed back on the session was good and was quite informative to them

Department of Management Studies has organised a session on ‘FINDING THE PERFECT RESEARCH TOPIC’, for the BBA Second year Students on 08.04.2025 at 11.30am to 1 pm at Dr. A.P.J. Abdul Kalam Library & Research Centre. The Resource Person is Dr. Nayana.P - Asst. Professor & Research Officer. The objectives of the topic was to focus on helping students/ Researchers to choose a topic that is meaningful, feasible, academically relevant & encourage originality and innovation. The programme was coordinated by Mr. Sandeepan.K.M. - Asst. Professor & HOD of Department of Management Studies . The Students feedback revealed that the session was very much useful to them and informative enough.
