In the academic year, the Gems College Union initiated a compassionate fundraising program called "10 Rupees a Day" On 30th October 2018, with the noble purpose of supporting various charity initiatives. The program was led by College Union Chairman Ameen Roshan, who, along with the guidance of Union Advisor Navas sir, encouraged both students and faculty members to contribute a mere 10 rupees per day of a month towards the cause. The response from the college community was overwhelming, and the "10 Rupees a Day" campaign successfully garnered substantial contributions from numerous individuals. The funds collected during the month of October 2018 were utilized to provide much-needed medical assistance to Milwa Vellila, a young heart patient facing critical health challenges.
