On 10.01.2019 PG Department of Commerce organized a visit to Akashapparava Vettathur, an old age home, as part of our community service initiative. The visit aimed to allow our students to interact with the elderly residents and contribute to their well-being. The visit was organized by our teachers, Siraj and Shahiba , with 40 students were participated. The visit started at 10 am at Akashapparava Vettathur. The students were prepared by the teachers to show respect, empathy, and kindness towards the elderly residents. the students divided into smaller groups and had conversations with the residents. They listened to their stories and shared their own experiences. The students showed genuine interest in the lives of the residents, asking about their hobbies and life journeys. To bring joy to the residents, our students performed singing, dancing, and skits. The elderly residents enjoyed the program and expressed their gratitude for the students' efforts. The students had provided lunch to the residents. The residents were grateful for the support. The visit allowed the students to develop an emotional connection with the elderly residents. They learned to cherish and respect the wisdom of the older generation. The visit also provided an opportunity for self-reflection and understanding the challenges faced by the elderly.
