On the 13th of December 2020, the PG Department of Social Work and Sociology at GEMS Arts and Science College organized a highly informative program for the Postgraduate Master of Social Work (MSW) students. The program, titled "Introduction to ICT in Social Work," aimed to introduce students to the practical applications of Information and Communication Technology (ICT) in the field of Social Work. The event provided a valuable opportunity for students to enhance their knowledge and understanding of the growing significance of technology in the realm of social work practice and research. The program was graced by Mr. Sulfikar, a distinguished Research Scholar from Jamia Millia Islamia University. Mr. Sulfikar brought with him a wealth of knowledge and expertise in the field of ICT and its applications in the domain of social work. His presence as the Resource Person added immense value to the event, as he was able to shed light on the latest trends, research findings, and best practices related to the integration of ICT in social work services. The program began with an overview of ICT and its relevance in the context of social work. The students were introduced to the various tools, technologies, and software commonly employed in the field .Mr. Sulfikar elucidated the role of technology in improving communication between social workers and their clients.
