By studying English Literature, one can develop comprehensive written and spoken communication skills. This is the basis for all other fields of career and higher education. Literature graduates and post graduates are absorbed in every industry filling a variety of roles from editor to academic and legal advisor to manager. Students can enter in position as teacher or lecturer after degree or PG in English Literature. Another option is to take up career in Journalism. Entering research field by applying for Ph.D programme is another attractive option. There are opportunities in the field of communication, publishing, translation and proof reading.
